Museums and historic sites
Local Archaeological Museum of Palaepaphos
About 3000 years ago, Paphos used to be its own kingdom and Kouklia was its capital and the site of the Sanctuary of Aphrodite. There are several archeological sites in and around the village, but the best starting point is the Archaeological Museum. While it may not be the best organized museum, it is very fascinating to see the artifacts of several layers of history and civilizations that have called this location their home.

Kato Pafos Archaeological Park
A vast archeological area from after the regional capital moved to the site of the current city of Paphos. Highlights include beautiful mosaics as well as wandering through the ruins of houses of local dignitaries and imagining what life was like 2000 years ago.
We suggest spending at least two hours at the site. It is quite a lot of ground to cover – so bring plenty of water (or they otherwise also have vending machines).
The entrance is next to the harbor.

Spa
Aphrodite Hills Gym and Spa
A variety of spa treatments and massages are available – see the list in their brochure available here.
Treatments give you access to their beautiful outdoor pool as well as the gym.
They also offer a “Pamper Spa” series of treatments for children aged 8-15.
There is a good hair salon attached to the spa.

Water parks
Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark
Large waterpark with a variety of rides for the whole family. It can get a bit busy in high season with queues both at the entrance and to the more popular slides.
You get a wristband that you can scan at the vending stalls and pay for any food or drink upon exit. Need to rent a locker for your clothes and valuables. Outside food and drink not allowed.

Fasouri Watermania
Another option at the edge of Lemesos, similar in size to the Paphos waterpark. Between the two, we prefer the Paphos park (which is also a bit closer) – but very good for variation if you want to visit more than one waterpark!

Splash Waterpark
Smaller waterpark, normally without any crowds, if you find the main Paphos waterpark too large and crowded.

Boat tours
There are various kinds of boat tours that start from the Paphos, including sightseeing cruises of the Akamas, lunch BBQ cruises, fireworks cruises, and all-inclusive cruises with a focus on partying (or why not go on a pirate cruise!).
The main providers include:
You may want to visit Paphos harbor to see the ships in question as well!
Jeep tours and rentals
Jimmy’s Jeep Adventures
Our recommendation for a jeep tour is Jimmy’s Jeep Adventures – they have good vehicles as well as drivers and guides. Tours cover the Troodos Mountains, the Akamas Peninsula, as well as a combination jeep and boat tour.

Chris Andreou Quad Buggy and Mini Jeep Rentals and Tours
If you want to go on a tour of the Akamas but drive yourself, this is your best bet!

Mini golf (and foot golf)
Island Cove Adventure Mini Golf
We have a very nice 18-hole mini golf course close by in Geroskipou – well maintained and at a medium challenge level.

Marios Golf Park
Marios Golf Park has a simple 9-hole mini golf course – mainly aimed at keeping younger children entertained.
The main draw is the foot golf, which is a lot of fun, especially if playing as a group.
It is also a great option if you are curious about real golf but find golf clubs intimidating – here it is all about having fun. Note that they have foot golf and real golf on alternating days.

Go-kart
Paphos Karting Centre
Go-karting track that gets the job done. A bit on the expensive side, the owner can be a bit unpleasant, and the karts are on the old side but fully functional.

Coral Bay Karting Center
Although it is a bit of a further drive than the Paphos Karting Centre, it can be worth it for the better maintained track, karts, and (somewhat) friendlier service. Prices are also a bit better.
