Gym
Aphrodite Hills Gym and Spa
There is a great gym a few minutes away at Aphrodite Hills in the same location as their excellent spa – we try to go as often as possible. They also run yoga and exercise classes. There are changing rooms onsite. It’s open daily and there are affordable day and week passes (but note that not all passes include a locker) – and note that it is free to use for everyone who has a spa treatment on the day.

Hiking
There’s excellent hiking to do up in the Troodos Mountains, that can be cool enough even in the middle of summer, and there are plenty of easier walks around the island as well.

Coastal trail
There is a beautiful stretch of protected nature along the coast towards Aphrodite’s Rock and Pissouri where there are very good walking trails. Go on the B6 towards Pissouri and keep an eye out on the right for the parking area (depending on where you want to start walking, there are a few different places you can park).
The path takes you almost all the way to Aphrodite’s Rock – then if you like, you can continue on the beach for the last stretch.
Particularly recommended for an early morning walk (especially if it is in high summer).

Cape Aspro Trail
An overall easy and enjoyable trail, but with a steep climb with some dangerous spots, so not suitable for children and good footwear is important.
Park on the public lot in Pissouri Bay and walk along the beach to the end of it where the ascent up the cliffs begin. Stunning views on the way up. Once you’re up it flattens out.

Cycling
Cyprus is a well-established destination for mountain biking – but has more and more started to cater to road cycling. There are many interesting trails and routes around the island suitable for all levels of bikers.

CWC Pro-Cycling
This is a great bike rental company in Kouklia that provide both mountain bikes and road bikes at different levels. They will deliver the bikes to you and they have their rental options on their website – but they’re close by, so you can also drop by to have a look at what they offer.
They also offer service and repair, as well as guided rides and service car support.

Cyprus E-bike
A great option to explore the island is to rent an e-bike – the best service for this is located in Paphos, but they will deliver to the villa. Make sure to book well in advance as they are in high demand.

Horseback riding
Aphrodite Hills Riding Club
Great place for those who have never ridden a horse and for more experienced riders as well. Go for lessons at the club or go on one of their ~2-hour tours of the hills around Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley.

Paphos Riding School
Another excellent riding school up in Amargeti – a great option if you would like to go on a riding tour with different scenery with more mountain views.

Aphrodite Hills Tennis Academy
You’re right next to the best tennis courts in the Paphos area. They have 9 professional courts, of which 5 are plexi-cushion hard courts and 4 European red clay courts. They also we have 2 Padel Courts.
Court rental from EUR 35, including rackets and balls if you don’t have your own.

Aphrodite Hills Dream Team Soccer School

Diving
Cyprus Diving Adventures
Even if you would not expect to find a dive shop in a village on top of a mountain, Steve and his team at Cyprus Diving Adventures are the best on Cyprus. He is highly experienced and has a strong focus on safety and correct procedures. Courses normally take place in Paphos, and diving trips are organized across the island.
They will even come to your villa and discuss the various options if you prefer it – just give them a call and set up a meeting!

Water sports
Xenios Water Sports Pissouri Bay
Our recommendation for water sports in Pissouri Bay – friendly service and a variety of rental options for both renting SUPs, kayaks, and pedal boats, as well as motorized experiences including jet skis, water skiing, and banana rides. They also organize boat trips to Aphrodite’s Rock and Melanda’s restaurant.
