Our recommendations for your vacation in Kouklia, Secret Valley, Aphrodite Hills and the wider Paphos region.
Where to start
Our villas are in Secret Valley, on the coast between Paphos and Limassol, just below the village of Kouklia and next door to the Aphrodite Hills resort. Paphos airport is about 15 minutes away, Paphos town 20 and Limassol 40, so most of western Cyprus is within easy reach – but a lot of the best is right on the doorstep. A car is recommended.
These are the places we’d point you to first:
- Dinner: Efraim Taverna (Marias) on the square in Kouklia, 7 minutes away. More in food and drink.
- A beach day: Pissouri Beach, our favorite, with a lifeguard in season – or Aphrodite’s Rock, 10 minutes away. More in beaches.
- Golf: Secret Valley Golf Course, a 2-minute drive from the villas. All five courses in golf.
- A morning walk: the coastal trail toward Aphrodite’s Rock, or our walk to Kouklia. More in sports and exercise.
- History: the Sanctuary of Aphrodite and museum at Palaepaphos in Kouklia village, and the mosaics of Kato Pafos. More in activities.
- Groceries: Alphamega in Mandria, a short drive toward Paphos. Pharmacies, ATMs and the hospital are in essentials.
